We all carry stress within our bodies like excess baggage from the past. Whether our mother had stresses or strains during pregnancy, or something happened during our lives that sits in a unconscious state within our minds waiting to jump out when a similar time appears.
All things can trigger this "ogre" to come out of hiding, a colour, a smell, a shape - the list is endless. Just think how a smell can trigger a memory, or a song takes you to a particular moment in your lifetime.
If in childhood your fingers were trapped in a yellow door then your brain would tend to cringe every time you came to a yellow door.
Physically you may not notice it, or you may just have an uncomfortable feeling that you choose to ignore.
However this" ogre" is there and it is impossible to remove it, we can only trigger some of the negative thoughts and lighten the burden.
Stress release relies on trigger words that "lighten the load".
A therapist dowses over a list of feeling words and finds the year in which this problem occurred. It can sometimes be the same negative word over a series of years.
It could be that you felt stifled or shocked at birth - just think of the traumatic experience birth can be.
Or it could be that you felt rejected during childhood
All these things can come back to haunt us.
After the negative word is sourced the patient is asked to say these words three times, during very emotional or stressful times croaking from the voice, or difficulty saying the particular words, means the problem still needs to be moved so the words are said again three times.
After all the negative words are said then an affirmation is found from a list and the affirmation is repeated three times, from then on the affirmation is repeated on a regular basis.
The affirmation fills the space of that the stress used to fill.
